Yoga + Acupuncture Workshop

Yoga + Acupuncture Image.jpg

Yoga and acupuncture are a match made in the chillest of heavens. Whether you're new to acupuncture, yoga or you love them both, this workshop is a great, affordable way to combine these two healing modalities in one heavenly Sunday afternoon.

During this workshop, you will learn about how Traditional Chinese Medicine and yoga can work together to release tension, promote relaxation, and generate body awareness. Yoga will be taught by Your Yoga’s own Tatum Fjerstad, who is also a student of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University, and Kim Christensen, Licensed Acupuncturist at Constellation Acupuncture and Healing Arts. The first 75 minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to movement, followed by a 20-minute community acupuncture experience and finish off with relaxing pranayama and meditation.

Exchange is $40 / $35 for students and space is limited to 15 people.

About Tatum: Tatum Fjerstad is a recovering people pleaser with a great sense of humor. She calls herself “a human being who teaches others how to be okay with being human.” She does this by teaching yoga, meditation and writing throughout Minneapolis. She’s also working on her masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University, where she is also a proud Diversity Scholar.

About Kim: Growing up with a massage therapist mom, a naturalist dad, and a circle of wise women family friends, Kim has felt drawn to the world of healing arts since her youth. It was a health crisis with Lyme Disease and tick-borne illness in her mid-twenties, however, that drew her in further. Through an integrative combination of therapies, lifestyle changes, and spiritual exploration, Kim found relief, hope, deeper self-intuition, and a path forward — and was inspired to support others in finding the same. Kim’s personal healing journey and her clinical experience have cemented her belief in the power of integrative medicine to support the whole self — body, mind, and spirit — in achieving long-lasting wellness and deep transformation. She supports patients with a wide range of concerns, including pain, complex/chronic conditions, Lyme Disease, anxiety and depression, digestion, and reproductive and sexual health. Kim strives to help patients of all ages feel affirmed, empowered, and aware of their intrinsic healing potential and intuition.
